Focker
I decided to try some base pads from springer precision for my CZ mags. I have the original 18 rounders and I ordered the base pads for them. When they arrived I tried to put them on and they are extremely tight. I can get them on but it takes some serious effort and there is a little gap at the back of the mag like the pad isn't going on all the way but the tab clicks into place. To get them off is very hard. I had to use pliers, the edge of the table, and a lot of force to do it. Is this normal or should I contact them tomorrow? I really don't want to have to go through what I did today to get one off and back on every time I drop one in a puddle at a match and need to clean my mag. S&W686
I had the same issue with springer precision base pads for my CZ and Mec-gar magazines. A couple of them were not too bad to get on or off, but most fit very tight.
FTDMFR
The anodization might be too thick on either the basepads or your mags. You might need to sand a little bit of material off the bottom of your mag lips.
Focker
Thanks for the tip. I didn't get a chance to call Springer or mess with the mags today but that's a good idea.
