syme71
Can anyone recommend a caliber to use for shooting steel. What's the most common bullet/powder/caliber combo?
8shooter
Anything that will cycle reliably with light loads. Alot of people are going back to 9mm, as it will shoot light and is substanially cheaper to load ammo, and guns for, etc. I personally run 38 super. In both auto and revolver. The auto I run 115 JHP with 4.0 grains WST = 120 p/factor lowest for gun to cycle with. I have also run N320 as well but the expense wasn't worth the marginal difference in recoil. The revolver shoots spendid with a Coated 115 conical and 3.0 grains of WST = 112 p/factor and super sweet, like shooting a rimfire.
