Rye
Any thoughts on the Double tap ambi safety? Is it similar to swenson"s paddle? Thanks in advance. Edited June 3, 2016 by Rye
BeerBaron
I think you might have double alpha mixed up with double tap. Afaik daa don't make any safeties. I haven't tried the double tap but I've heard its good. I've tried a Swenson. It's cheap for a reason.... They are not up to the quality of a egw or sv etc. the Swenson I had also took more fitting. I've heard a local smith whose fitted a few say he no longer does them as the extra fitting time is such a hassle. For shielded I switched to the Phoenix trinity shielded safety. It's top quality. Nicely made. My only gripe is it comes in a rough bead blast type finish so needs some decent polishing or finishing (if coating it). I'd buy the pt with confidence and word is the dt is good too. bigboy69
I heard the dbl tap were good. I'm still trying to get EGW to make them. The PT are ridiculous in price but it's probably for a reason.
BeerBaron
The pt are $$$ but they are excellent (my only gripes are the pt logo on it and the finish work). I've bought 3 now (one for a friend) and don't regret a single peso of that purchase.
