js1130146
I'm changing my 2011 over to 9 major from 38 super. Will I need to have a new ejector fit? Or should the current one work? I'm just looking to keep from spending unnecessary money.
MrPostman
Current one should work fine. However you may need to increase the extractor tension slightly going from 38 super to 9mm. If the extractor will barely hold a dummy round to the breechface with the slide open then it should be fine. js1130146
Yeah, I knew that. I have a spare that I'm going to tune. I wasn't sure if the length difference between the cases would be an issue. Or if I would get any benefit going to a longer ejector with the shorter case.
MrPostman
I did the same conversion and mine does fine, but I have a RTS2 on mine and it doesn't cover the ejection port when the slide is cycled. Now if you have a vertical mounted slide ride cmore you may have some issues with cases hitting the underside of the mount, if you have a 90 degree cmore mount then that won't be a problem. warpspeed
In theory you should be OK.
