jkrispies
I have a Burris FastFire 3 in 3moa that I tried out on my steel .22lr Rimfire Rifle Optic gun, and while I really do like the optic, I found that it wasn't quite bright enough for my (admittedly aging) eyes and the purpose of speed shooting on steel. I swapped it over to my AR as a backup and like it fine there, especially with its auto adjusting feature that I think works really well indoors and in low light. It was just in the bright midday desert that I had issues. I'm wondering if anybody out there has both a 3moa version and an 8moa version and can tell me if when compared side-by-side the 8moa version appears brighter? I understand that they both will be scientifically the same brightness, but I wonder if the larger dot creates the appearance of greater brightness. I wouldn't mind trying out the FF3 in an 8moa version on my RFRO steel gun again, but would feel pretty stupid if I invested in the same optic twice and ended up with the identical problem all over again. Thanks, J
Garmil
Appears A decent amount brighter with the 8 moa I've had both.
