b18prl
Can anyone help me with this before I change my set up? Which one sits lower; C-more Serendipity or C-more slide ride on Doubletap mount? Thanks
MichaelGj
Changing to another upright mount wont do much difference.. You will get closer to the bore with a RTS2/DPP/Razor but nothing beats a 90 degree mount if we a talking sight and bore distance.
BeerBaron
The serrendipity is fairly high to ensure it clears all type of slide. Some mounts are a little higher/lower than others. I'm not sure 100% but I believe the dt mount will be a little lower. The ipsc alex mount is pretty low for an upright too.
Bamboo
I have both and the serendipity is slightly lower on the gun. Not enough to make one better over the other if you are basing your decision on bore to sight height alone.
sfinney
Serendipity is about as low as you can go IF you drill the screw holes low enough. A slide ride is basically a Serendipity with the mounts sawed off, so any mouunt it sits on would be higher by that amount. 90 degree mount gets the lowest over the slide , in a full size C-more. BeerBaron
Good point. I guess it matters most where the holes are on the frame. Some mounts are definitely higher than others though.
