docscoutjr
Just got my Dawson competition sights and not super keen on bashing the old ones out with the provided tools. Anyone done this? I know the sight pusher is the "proper" way to go, but seems the only one that can do it for sure is the sight pro at $345. Thanks.

docscoutjr
Alas I am in Canada. ITAR is not super friendly about such things. It can be done, but for a sight job it would probably end up cheaper to just get the tool.
RSDelta
I installed a set of 10-8 sights on my VP9 using the brass punch method. The stock sights came off no problem. The front 10-8 sight required a fair amount of filing to fit.
rrickysee
I watched the video on Dawson's web site on fitting and installing the sights, and did it my self. I already had a good vise, soft jaws, dial calipers, files, stones and loctite 620. If you plan on having multiple guns 3-4 it's worth the investment if not your better off paying someone. Either way the sights will need to be fitted, they will not just go on with a sight tool.
