Rudukai13 Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Just another one of my strange every day "what if" thoughts, figured I'd pose it to the masses; It's my understanding that the P229 is effectively the compact/carry version of the P226. I will start by saying, my knowledge of the construction of the 226/229 pistols is limited if not non-existent, so there may be some glaringly obvious issue with this idea that I'm missing. But I'm curious - Would it be possible to take a P226 SAO frame (NOT the X5, just the standard Elite SAO), and swap out the slide for a P229 slide, to create effectively a SAO P229?
