randy01
I wan't to load some 45's to use in my PC625 for metallic silhouette shooting. I was thinking of 230 grain RN with VV340. Is this ok and does anybody have a clue what the bullet drop would be at 25, 32.5 and 50 meters if I zero the dot at 12.5 meters.
revchuck
Randy - I would zero the sight at 32.5 meters instead of 12.5. The bullet is moving at about 800 f/s [~250 m/s] and drops pretty quickly. With the 32.5 meter zero, you could probably hold on different parts of the chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams and not have to change the sight. With a 12.5 meter zero, you would probably have to hold over the rams, rather than on them.
