coltlover
I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my Bedell 9mm major pistol. I loaded up some ammo yesterday so I will be ready for the range when it arrives. Have 125 gr Black Bullets, Win small rifle primers & HS-6. I loaded small batches @ 7.4 gr of powder, 7.7 gr of powder & 8.0 gr of powder. All loaded to 1.170" OAL. Got a fresh battery in the Chrony. Can't wait to collect some data & start blasting! Hi-Power Jack
While you're waiting, you might want to try some a little shorter - 1.16". See which you prefer.
jetjocky
I've got the same gun/barrel combo. With blue Bullets 125RN 1.16 was the longest I could go. Also it leaded the comp something awful. I'm now loading MG CMJ which Dan recommends.
coltlover
Here is the load data from original owner; "Dan gave me the recommended load and it shoots great. 7.6gr 3N37 and I use a 124gr MG JHP. OAL on the load was 1.175" I thought that seemed a little long, but my 147gr loads are longer. I know we are comparing apples to peaches to oranges w/ all the different bullets & powder. I will load some w/ same powder charges and the shorter OAL to compare accuracy & velocity while I have everything set up. Hope the leading isn't as bad as people are alluding to. Have several buddies running Blue Bullets in 38SC at 180PF w/o problems.
