St3v3
Hello. Hi, I'm flying into to KY for the Trijicon shooter challenge in October. Its going to be interesting for me as I haven't competed with a pistol for 18years due to them being banned in the uk.(Yup, I'm a Brit ) Have shot PSG & Multigun (shotgun & rifle). I'm hoping to get some practise with pistols in the week before trijicon but haven't yet identified where to go, so if anyone has ideas on where i could practice I would appreciate feedback. Looking forward to this awesom competition, love the fact that no race guns or specialised riggs, Just pick up your gun and shoot. only concern is the clay pigeon, never done it, will need to have a go or two before I get there.. if anyone else going to trijicon has any advice i will listen carefully. regards Steve
Bryan 45
What day are you flying in to the US?Blue Ridge Mountain 3 Gun will be ongoing at Rockcastle Shooting Center from Oct 15-17. If you're going to be here by Oct 15, you may still be able to get a slot in this 3 gun match. www.brm3g.com Otherwise, there is a USPSA pistol match at Owensboro, KY on Oct 17. www.orpci.org. About 1.5 hour drive from Rockcastle. There is a large group of Brits that shoot at Owensboro a couple times a year, I know the guys here would be glad to outfit you with equipment. Contact the match director for more info. Also, Rockcastle has rental equipment available, and plenty of places to shoot. Contact Amy at Rockcastle, awells@pmresort.us, for more info. They also have a full sporting clays course, so you can get some aerial target practice. I'm sure they'd love to have you the week before and they'll treat you right. The USPSA match you mentioned sounds good and I am planning on visiting. Steve.
