selecw
I'm picking up a Witness Gold Team and would like a recommendation on the best horizontal mount for the C-more Thanks for the help
BeerBaron
Cheely setback mount is the best sideways mount. Assuming you obly want an upright mount then the factory tanfoglio ond is good. The one made by ipscalex is also very nice.
selecw
Cheely emailed me that their mount doesn't work with the Gold Team. Is that correct?
BeerBaron
They make a sideways (aka 90) mount for the gold team, but may not have stock at the moment. if you want upright mount I'd suggest stock tanfoglio: this one: http://www.ericgrauffelonlineshop.com/en/mounts/38-cmore-mount.html the nice thing is it has a shield AND it has posts for the cmore to mount too. This means the posts are what centre the cmore and the screws just provide clamping force. in other mounts the screws must centre and clamp the cmore. it's a good design. they have a thumbrest that goes with it: http://www.ericgrauffelonlineshop.com/en/frame-parts/101-thumb-rest.html The tanfoglio mount is single sided but plenty stiff in my experience. That mount and thumb rest come standard on the gold teams in europe and rest of the world. only in the US for some reason it seems to come without mount or cmore. tanfoglio also have a sideways mount (I have not used it). http://www.ericgrauffelonlineshop.com/en/tanfoglio-custom-parts/152-xtreme-side-mount.html Eric has his own 90 mount too: http://www.ericgrauffelonlineshop.com/en/mount/350-tanfoglio-xtreme-mount-90.html If you still are set on upright mount and don't lilke the tanfoglio one my other favourite would be the IPSC Alex mount: http://ipscalex.com/collections/pistol-accessories/products/c-more-mount-for-tanfoglio-pistols it's a double sided mount so will be super rigid. he also makes a thumb rest to go with it (I have it with my cheely 90 setback mount). it's nice too: http://ipscalex.com/collections/pistol-accessories/products/thumbrest IPSC alex is great to deal with too. selecw
I just ordered the Eric mount. I've used/liked his products so far. Thanks for the pointer!
BeerBaron
cool, I like that his mount has a separate screw to hold the thumb rest (and then pin holes to adjust angle). I don't like having to use the mount screws to hold the thumb rest. this is a better way. it seems like the eric 90 mount may have posts for the cmore too. let me know if it does. I might get one too to add to my current selection of stock tanfoglio, DAA and cheely setback. Edited July 24, 2015 by BeerBaron
