trp
I have a dawson front sight in my 1911 which I love it's perfect I just bought one that's wider and the dot seems huge Does the size of the fiber in a wider blade get bigger? Or what's going on here? Any help would be great I like the wider notch but I'm not liking the bigger dot
UncleTK
New fiber optic sights are brighter that ones that have been on your gun that you have cleaned several times.
trp
It's not that I'm going to measure them now
wav3rhythm
It also will vary depending on how big you melt the bulb on the end when you replace them. Depending on your brand of sight... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
trp
Ok just measured the beveled hole on my older style Dawson sight at .040 with a blade at .100 The new one is .060 but with a blade at .115 I tried this to see if it helped with accuracy but it's more of a hindrance I'll email Dawson to see if all the new sights are like this or just the wider blade
Garmil
Do you have the fiber mushroomed out on the end or recessed in to the hole? You can get a pretty good size difference depending on how u put in the rod.
