Cat
Hi, I've shot about 60 rounds so far out of my new savage 110, and I just noticed that the entire barrel and action is slightly loose from the stock. It can rock back and forth just a little bit, but enough to notice while carrying/handling the gun. Is this normal? Thanks.
Shipster
Check the action screws, the two forward of the trigger guard. The one behind the trigger guard is just a wood screw on the savage. The action screws were probably not all that tight when you got it. Tighten the front screw pretty tight the middle one should be good and snug. A little locktite or fingernail polish on the threads of the 2 front screws should hold them in place. Good Luck
Cat
you were right, the screw infront of the trigger guard is loose. unfortunately i don't have an alan wrench that will fit it so I gotta go find one the right size
gm iprod
If the problem continues, get the rifle glass bedded. I would glass bed the rifle anyways. If you put locktite on the action screws use the low level stuff. Anything that really grips in hard will be difficult to remove.
