High Lord Gomer
I put a 9mm conversion barrel in my 40 Pro and it shoots several inches low at 15 yards. If I put a Dawson adjustable rear sight on it (with appropriate matching front sight), will there be enough range of adjustment for me to swap between 9 & 40? Forrest Halley
Are we to assume you are shooting 147's in 9mm and 180's in .40? How many inches are we talking? Two or twelve? I'd say talking to Dawson is your best bet. If you knew the height of the front sight and the distance off of POI of the forty barrel...you should be able to figure out how much sight difference you'd need to bring that bullet up to the forty. They have a formula that you should be able to manipulate and work it backwards.
rack&roll
I have Warren/Tactical fixed sights on my .40 Limited M&P. I also put a KKM 9mm/.40 conversion barrel in it (for using cheaper 9mm ammo) and I don't notice much of a difference between the POA/POI with either barrel. I'm using 124gr 9mm and 180gr .40 S&W respectively. If you are only noticing only a few inches low at 45 feet, I would just adjust my sight picture, and go with it! Or do what Forrest Halley said: "I'd say talking to Dawson is your best bet."
