Absolutely!

I have had a total of one gun custom built. It was a new and very exciting experience for me. I had assembled most of the parts for a custom single-stack but my local 1911 god was having health problems and was unable to take on the project. Through some pure dumb luck, I came to know Mr. Gene Williams of Princeton TX via the internet. I spoke with him about what I wanted and we agreed on a scope of work and a price. I sent him the parts and about a week later I received and E-mail of my frame and slide fitted together. Pictures continued to arrive every couple of days until the gun was complete which was only about three weeks from the time I sent the parts! The gun is the pride of my collection and will always be special to me. The pictures made a big impression on me. You can see "Baby" in the gallery here. My Baby
