jstagn
Does anyone make a 'grip tape' cut properly to fit stock accu-shadow grips?
bockerSV
Not to the best of my knowledge. When I had a set of those grips I cut my own grip tape to fit. Was a pain in the ass but if you're patient and have a steady hand it comes out nice.
bockerSV
I kind of wish I had kept the template I made to cut them out now.
jstagn
Very nice, with my grip I need the backstrap and the back edges of the grips, I guess I'll have to make my own. Does the tape stick over the checkering on the backstrap OK ? Also what kind/brand tape did you use? Thanks....
bockerSV
For the back strap I cut strips of grip tape about 1/3" that are just long enough that they go underneath the grip when applied so you don't have to worry about edges coming up. As far as going over the checkering, it just goes right over top and being that you have it held down with not only the adhesive, but also pressure from the grip, it doesn't go anywhere. I think I use jessup grip tape usually but any skate tape should do the trick.
