kurtm
Poorly fitted is for sure made worse. Properly fit, does not lessen this poblem. Think of an optic that you make perfect for eye relief while shouldering the rifle in a nice relaxed offhand position. Then the first time you slam down prone you can't see crap because you head position has now changed, or you find that with the rifle sideways you only see a tiny amount through a very small optic widow. Good news is most shooting we do is standing erect with a gage so proper fitting pay huge dividends and thats why way back in the old S.O.F. days I was a big proponent of it and sang it's praise near and far, but at the same time I also was putting 10-22 sights on guns. bluegrasspicker
Hey, I know this is an old thread, but IT'S TRUE! During a fit of cabin fever last winter I took the 20 mins to adjust the fit. It made a world of difference. The timing from shot to shot is faster with a natural recovery into the next target. Thought I'd put this back to the top in case anyone hasn't done it. I neglected it for several regretful months! If I could turn back the clock.. Bob
