BobS761
What's a good way to take care of and clean the threads in the barrel? I generally just lightly spin a boore brush or tooth brush around and then light oil. I see from a previous thread, antiseize or grease may be better than oil, but my concern is keeping the threads in good shape. Thanks.
GunCat
Bob, When you are finished shooting the gun for the day take the choke tube out, wipe it off, add a few drops of you favorite grease or oil on the threads, then screw the tube back in. Do that from day 1 and you’ll likely never have a choke tube stuck in your gun, I never have. (I tell duck hunters, clay target shooters and plinkers the same thing because it works)
GunCat
And a plug for our site sponsor…Slide Glide makes for a good choke tube lube. Edited January 6, 2015 by GunCat
