b18prl
As the title says, can I use WSF for 9 major with 124gr for practice? Just wanna save the WAC for major matches. Anybody tried it before? Thanks.
open17
It works. I was running it with 124's for a while. Should work fine for practice ammo. I quit using it because it is reverse temperature sensitive. Bad enough that ammo that went 172 at 50 degrees was 165.1 at 80 degrees!
Whitefish
WSF is the powder that John Nagel at SJC originally used to develop a load for his open Glocks. My best recollection is that the SJC Glock load was 6.8 gr WSF at 1.145 or 1.150 inches OAL with a 124 gr hollow point. That was out of a Glock 17 with a 5 inch barrel and 4 port comp. I used it for a while, but moved away from it because it is reverse temperature sensitive as was pointed out in the previous post. It has a nice feel to it, but the variation in velocity is not worth dealing with when there are other better alternatives. For practice, it would work just fine though. b18prl
Thank you for the infos guys, I see it's quite a dense powder so I think it should work at least for practice so I don't burn through my WAC.
