fltbed
Anyone that uses the Hi Tek coatings, like Bayou, will give you no issues with TG. It’s just plane old style cast and wax lubed and some of the early style coated bullets (Precision, Bear Creek come to mind) that you might have some issues with. jsg
200 grain Bayou (or BBI) over 3.8 of TG loaded to 1.180 makes 169 in my Trojan very consistently. No smoke to speak of.
kellymc
Just chrono. some Bayou 180gr with 4.2 titegroup and got a consistent 980 fps with a sti stock barrel. I was expecting less then 890. I guess I will use them for pistol matches instead of 3gun. Anyone else get this kind of fps out of 4.2-4.3 titegroup?
krazykj03
I worked up a load of 3.9 - 4.6 of titegroup. From my chrono if you want major pf 4.4gr gives pf of 170ish. So that's what imma load mine 4.4- 4.5gr. OAL 1.160 with 180 gr. bear creek.
Sturdy
My chrono is on the fritz and I'm headed to a major. 5'' Edge. If I put 4.8 g of titegroup under a 180 g BBI at 1.175 oal will I make major and avoid blowing up my gun? Edited April 1, 2015 by Sturdy
