deuc224
Hey guys, im ready to start loading other calibers now and was wondering how time consuming/challenging is it to switch primer sizes? I know a lot of guys on here have 2 machines set up so they dont have to deal with this but i would rather use the money for conversion kits and auto drive and bullet feeder instead. So is it worth it to get? Or is ir really just a much easier thing to get another machine and leave it set up for large? Thanks in advance. Oh this is for recreational use, not commercial. blueeyedme
If I am switching over primer sizes it takes me about an hour - but I am not trying to set any speed records and take the opportunity to clean and lube the machine. Provided your toolhead is already set-up and adjusted it probably only takes maybe 20 minutes to swap out the shellplate and primers. YMMV. pjames32
I have 2 separate primer feeds, 1 set up for large, 1 for small. Takes about 3 minutes to swap out. Quick and simple. YMMV! PJ
