home club slump

when I travel to other clubs I have a very good match, the last 3 classifers i shot at other clubs were 2M 1 GM. But when I shoot at my home club I'M in the 40's to 50 range, shot a match this weekend out of town and didn't drop 20 pts the whole 5 stages no mikes no D's and only 1 extra shot on a Texas star. then shot monday night at the local club and had 5 mikes 3 NS and way to manny C and D's I think I'm trying to hard.Not realy sure what to think, I'm sure it's all in my mind and just over thinking it.

Indoor= bad, outdoor= good.

no just as bad outdoors as indoors when I shoot local club, and away I have shot both and do well in both,

Are you paying to much attention to your friendly... or unfriendly competitors at your local match rather than just trying to shoot your own game at a match with lots of strangers?....just a thought.

If you believe you won't do well at your local match, then you have established a self-fulfilling prophecy. Your belief will usually result in the outcome you believe will happen. You have to figure out how to mentally approach the local match so this does not continue to happen. You might try viewing the local match as just a training exercise instead of a competition. That seems to help me.
