EricW
Are the springs that come in 30 rd Labelle's just as suspect as any other mag spring? I hate to seem cheap, but at the price of mags now it almost seems better to dump mags with worn-out springs for new mags than to dump $10 into a used magazine that can be replaced for $15. Am I missing something? (I'm not talking about 40's here.)

Patrick Sweeney
I'd have the opposite inclination: my mag tubes are tested and known, and short of running them over with my truck I'm not sure the tubes can wear out. So if they start giving spring-related feeding problems, I'd rather install a new, known, spring than have to get a new mag and to all the testing to make sure it works right. AR tubes aren't nearly as durable as good 1911 tubes, but they aren't fragile, paper mache construciton, either.
