MPK
I got a G17. Will droping the slide with training ammo or snap caps from Dillion in the chamber damage my pistol?
Flexmoney
Any time you drop the slide on a round in the chanber (real or not), the extractor has to "jump" over the rim of the round. Usually not recommended.
stingerjg
Flex, i dont think he ment dropping a round in the chamber then closing the slide. I think he ment, putting them in the mag then 'dropping'/ releasing the slide to chamber the round. No there shouldnt be a problem with doing that. I do it all the time for my G35 w/ the KKM barrel. Steve Moneypenny
It's not a problem on the glock pistols. if your using the slide lock/stop it might break with a lot of use, but cheap to repair.
