ChrisW
Loaded some of these last week and shot them across chrono Monday. Avg 1088 with 4.4gr 231 from a 5" RIA 1911. About 38 degrees outside. PF was right at 135. I am going to use this for my Minor load because it was still soft out of the 1911 and I will never need to worry about being under PF. In case anyone is looking for this type of load. Chris
sk330lc
May I ask what over all length you used?
practical_man
That is one of my favorite loads, except I use lead bullets.
ChrisW
OAL was 1.148 which is just short of some factory 115's I measured which were 1.152 I was just using the 115's as a reference since the bullet profile is the same for both of them. C-Money
I use 4.0 gr @ 1.130" OAL to make 128 PF 65 degrees. Had to load shorter for some guns. I like it a lot but it sure is dirty.
1sickPuppy
I don't know about my PF But I load 4.7 win231, 230 xtreme RN with an OAL of 1.20 and works just fine.... I don't have a chrono yet but that's what I load for shooting. Edited March 29, 2014 by 1sickPuppy
Trimmy
Where are you finding 231 around the dayton area? I cannot find it anywhere and would love about 10 pounds of it,
ChrisW
I got 8lbs of it last fall. Still have about 6 of it left. I am still keeping an out out on the internet and will buy another 8lbs as soon as it is in stock somewhere.
