glynnm45
So, I have had a 650 for a few years now, love it by the way, and just this last week I acquired a used SDB. Supposed to be complete, however, as these things go sometimes, parts are missing. He used the press exclusively for 38/357 so he used the small primer setup. After several messages back and forth he finally sent the large primer slider, but NO large primer magazine assembly, more specifically the heave gauge Aluminum primer tube that fits within the large primer assembly. Now to my question: will the 650 Aluminum tube, of corresponding use work in the primer magazine assembly? Or do I bite the bullet, so to speak, and buy a primer magazine assembly heavy Aluminum tube?
Kayak1
After using the 650 for a few years have you found the SDB a useful addition to your 650? I have a 650 and I keep on looking at a 1050 to dedicate to 9mm.
glynnm45
Actually it's not running yet. I plan to use it as a dedicated 45LC loader. I don't run much of those on the 650, so I thought I might give a SDB the job. If you are using the volume, 1050 is way smooth, at least my friends is. IronicTwitch
I'm pretty sure they use different primer magazines, at least according to the part numbers on Dillon's site. I don't have a 650 to test and see how close that primer magazine would fit on my SDB though. Part 22031 "Large Primer Magazine Assembly" ($8.50) for the SDB VS Part 22033 "XL650 Primer magazine, Large" ($10.75) for the
glynnm45
Yeah, I actually got someone a Dillon to set me straight. 650 tube has a brass tip and the SDB has a plastic tip. Nary the two shall mix.
