Chriznak
can ruger 77/22 in 22 wmr be chamber reamed to run 5.7x28? they fire same bullets. 5.7 has a longer and larger diameter case. just wondering. cheers.
mgardner
It would require quite a bit of gunsmithing on the bolt and probably be very expensive. The magazine is a problem too. The rifling twists are quite different too. The 22 WRM is 1:16 and the 5.7 is 1:8 1/2 so the barrel would need to be changed out too. It's probably best to leave it as is.
