actionshooter
I bought these a year ago and am just getting around to trying them. WOW, these thing are accurate and shoot soft, but reliable they are not. The gun will only cycle about every 3rd round and the shells fall right at my feet. The gun should be broke in at 1k+ rounds through it, so that's not the issue. I really want to use them but its not looking good. I did a search and read a little about the sure-cycle. Has anyone gone this route? Any other suggestions from the fellow SLP users?
Mbauer67
Are you using the light piston?
co-exprs
BP's would cycle through my SLP but only when the gun was cleaned and well lubed. I know they recommend running the piston dry, but I got sick of the occasional hickup and began lubing my piston with synthetic motor oil. It got a lot more reliable with all light loads after that and it got much easier to clean.
actionshooter
Ya, I have the light piston in it and have never had trouble with lighter loads. Runs the wally world shells like a dream. I'll try running the piston oiled up and see if that does anything.
