steviesterno
was an interesting read. I never really understood the draw of endurance testing myself. if I'm going to carry a gun, I'll keep it in great shape and not beat it to death, only really keeping it running with good ammo and cleanings/maintenence. If I had access to 50k rounds of +p ammo for free and just tried to burn it up, I wouldn't care at all when a $150 barrel wore out. I would just send it back and get a new one and keep running it. It is pretty cool to see how far you can push something mechanically. My thought is competitive shooters run ammo a little less demanding on the gun/barrel and probably monitor other conditions more closely than the average trigger puller. I do want one of those 9mm 1911s though, I miss my SPartan
Kingman
Depends. Open shooters run very hot, over +p pressures in most cases. Our guns lat 70,000 plus.
