mcoliver
But how does the tape stay over the serrations w/o much to stick to?.I have enough trouble keeping a whole grip panel sized piece of skateboard tape to stay on the plastic checkering of my Para LDA grip (for production). Some judicious de-greasing and make sure the tape also sticks to the flat areas outside of the serrations. For really curvy areas, it was suggested to me to use hair dryer and heat up the tape before applying it.
Zerwas
If you are using a limited gun and you go to slide lock or you have to use rely on the serrations to make a quick reload then you are already behind the 8 ball.... As far as pure looks are concerned, I really like the Dawson curved serrations.
Harmon
I can chamber a round in my 45 without using serrations period, and it probably has a heavier recoil spring than any limited gun. front cocking serrations are again a useless item often added to pistols to "dress them up" that being said, the dawson cocking serrations look better than the brazos serrations...but both work, and its your dime..pick one or none.
