9mm major open pistol - reuse brass or let it go?

While I don't reload I pick up all my brass, and others, and give it to my reloader who's been doing this for 30+ years. I've heard all sorts of times the brass can be reused. He has told me, and reloads accordingly, that 9 & 40 can safely be reloaded 15-20 times. However, that said, he checks all brass before approving. and his finished load looks as good as any factory load you would find and performs based on the specs I supply as well as any ammo I've shot.

That's one reason I went to 9 major so I don't have to pick up my brass.
