Julien Boit
Hi all, I've not found any clear answer to this question while browsing through the topics. Anybody knows what is the rear dovetail dimension of a Kimber Custom 2 ? Is it the same as a Novak mount ? Thanks
2MoreChains
Not 100% certain on the exact dimensions, but I do know that these rear sights fit the Kimber Series II and pre-SII pistols. http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+REAR:Kimber+Rear+Sights Edited October 22, 2013 by 2MoreChains
Parallax3D
60 degrees x .3605" x .194" Kimber's sight cut is not the same as Novak. Novak is 65 degrees x .495". Since the Novak is larger, you could have the dovetail re-cut for Novak. Edited October 22, 2013 by Parallax3D
davehorn
Kimber uses their own unique cut. Most major sight companies make a "Kimber" cut. It would be much easier if everyone just used Novak or Bomar.
