Now more advice needed I'm starting a new custom build as some of you might already know. The frame/grips will be form SVI. Probably a lot of the external parts will be from SVI as well since I love their looks. Question now about functionality/reliability. Which barrel/comp comb do you guys recommend (38S for me)? So you are stuck with either buying a complete SVI from SVI or contacting one of the builders who can buy the SVI frame. If you contact one of the guys who can buy the frames then you will have to ask them what they like to use. They have a reason they use the parts they use. If you decide on a STI frame the world will open up for you on what you can use. Or you could just buy a used SVI and build on that.
