Does anyone have a good minor load for a JHP with HS-6 out of a comp gun? This will primarily be used for falling steel

It depends, what kind of comp do you have? 9mm or .38 super? 115gr for sure.

Your setup might run flattest anywhere between 5 and 10 grains.

9.0gr HS-6 with a MG 115JHP @ 1.168 is 173-174 pf out of my 5" 2011

Not minor but figured i'd throw it out there

In my 9mm CZ with a 5.1" barrel makes 165PF with a 100gr bullet over 9.3gr HS6 and with a 124gr bullet over 8.2gr.

It seems to me ~9 grains of HS6 is what you need to make the comp work well, regardless of bullet weight.

I haven't tried 115s yet, but I think that's the ticket.

I read some guys keep the powder charge the same between major and minor, but just use lighter bullets; others drop the charge way down (~5 gr) with a 115 and just the weight of the comp keeps the muzzle down.

I had feed problems with the 100 grainers because I had to load them so short (1.076") so I'm going to stick to 115s.
