prattj50
According to the new IDPA rule book are non captured steel guide rods or captured steel guide rods now legal to use in SSP division? I could not find in the new rule book where it is. Thank you
Rob Tompkins
8.2.1.3.4 ( I think) does not specify captured or uncapatured but reads as if either one is ok.

Steve Koski
SSP Allowed list: 8.2.1.3.4. Recoil spring guide rods and dual spring recoil systems made of material that is no heavier than stainless steel. But like they said, this rule goes into effect 10/1/2013. Prior to that the guide rod must be of the same material as the stock part per the 2005 rule book. Edited August 22, 2013 by Steve Koski
