cohland
Shooting an STI .45 ACP Sentry in Single Stack with a recoil master with a heavy spring, switching to FLGR for simplicity. Would like to match the spring rate of the recoil master, has anyone else done this? If so, what spring are you using? I plan to start with Wolff 16.5 lb. variable. Ammo is 230 grain, about 189PF. RePete
You may want to go to a 17.5 or 18.5 spring for that stiff load.
cohland
You may want to go to a 17.5 or 18.5 spring for that stiff load. Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I will take a couple of heavier springs to the range for testing next week. Planning to start with 16.5 variable, and I've got 17, 18, and 18.5 variables. RePete
I suggest going heavy first and then step down.
cohland
I suggest going heavy first and then step down. Will do. Thanks again.
cohland
I suggest going heavy first and then step down. I started with an 18.5# variable and stayed with it. I seem to be able to get back on target a little more quickly with this particular spring, although I realize that might be contrary to some other comments I've seen. I do have a good grip, maybe that's a factor. Thank you for the guidance! Chris
