I just did a SAO conversion and couldn't get the DA/SA spring to fit in the SA trigger. It was too wide and the coils were much fatter.

Where might these SAO springs be availble from.

I got mine from Henning, but I don't know if he still carries them. Looks like he's trimming down his selection of stock parts.

I think your problem with installing the spring has to do with the length of the spring leg that goes on the trigger side rather that the dimension of the coil itself , trim that at the indicated point and you will find that it fits just fine, use a temp short pin to keep the spring in place when installing the trigger assembly. Don't spread those spring legs again after the installation to get a better trigger pull, so you don't come back to the same problem of having trouble to reset.

Babo_al what you have describes makes allot of sense and thanks for laying it out like that. So with the leg cut to the same lenght it should fit and with the spring now a bit tighter it should reset better. I think it might be worth a try, Im not sure how easy it will be to find a SAO spring and I have a few spare DA/SA ones.
