Is a 25mm scope too small for steel challenge shooting?

Probably not. Remember many of the MRD (mini red dot) scopes are smaller than that, just look at the Leupold Deltapoint. If it's what you have or what you can afford, it should work fine as long as it holds zero and doesn't wash-out in the sun or bright light. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the reply. My budget is around $100 for a red dot scope. It will be used for Steel Challenge, 22lr division, as well as assorted club matches. I just don't know if I should get a Tasco pdp3 or this Bushnell.

There is a guy at my club that uses the Bushnell sight and likes it. I have heard of many more PDP users out there but that may be due to the PDP being out longer. If this is going on a pistol, then the Bushnell hands down (much lighter/shorter). On a rifle, probably could either way but I would search around for more opinions on the optics themselves and make sure they can be seen in bright light, if you are shooting outdoors.
