Dog1
I have a SDB that I bought last Dec. New in the box from Graff and Sons. Recently the shell plate has begun to snap into place, when indexing. When it does, it's fairly violent and results in powder spilling out of the case at station 3. I would call Dillon, but I cannot be on hold for 55 minutes again. Any ideals on what is going on? Babaganoosh
I had this problem. Oddly enough the problem was the primer plunger. It's timing was off and it caused the snap that shot powder everywhere. The best way to see it happening is run the press without any cases in it. Also make sure that the shell plate is tight enough. So how did you fix this? Ive started to experience this sort of "snap" ever now and then. I thought it might be a "timing" issue, but wasnt sure. Babaganoosh
You need to adjust the travel of the primer slide by adjusting slide stop adjustment screw. It's a hex screw. There are two of them. It's the lower one. It's part 13961b.
