Nationals

    It's going to cost me about $800 to attend the Nationals this year.  You know, match fees, travel, motel, peanut butter&tuna sandwiches.

    By comparison, I know a few guys who are real serious golfers.  Another few guys I know are way into NASCAR racing.  These guys wouldn't blink at paying $2500 to spend a few days golfing in the US Open.  They would walk from here to Daytona barefoot across broken glass if they could race in the 500.   These kinds of opportunities are just fantasies for most atheletes.  

      But, we compete in a sport that is open to anyone who would come and play.   We have the option, for a few hundred bucks, to match our skills against the very best shooters that have ever walked on the planet.  Deal me in.

There are those who play for money.

There are those who play for fame.  

But there are still those who only play,

for the love of the game.

Damn Bonedaddy.  I shouldn't have let the cat out of the bag about the peanutbutter, tuna and mustard sandwiches.  I had planned on selling those on the side to make up my $50.  Now everybody is going to bring their own.
