Steve Moneypenny
I may be shooting a Glock 17 in production and IDPA SSP next year. what is legal for me? Can i still use the extended magazine catch (ala the G34)? i know that a SS guide rod is not legal in SSP, but is it still legal in production? These are the only external modifications that i plan, other than skate tape. . Thanks Glockers.
Mark Perez
re: IDPA Can i still use the extended magazine catch (ala the G34)? yes. As in all IDPA matters , contact HQ to get the current ruling of the day. i know that a SS guide rod is not legal in SSP, but is it still legal in production? If it doesn't bring the weight over 2 ounces from stock - I believe so - CGR would know for sure.

Q: i know that a SS guide rod is not legal in SSP, but is it still legal in production? A: Prod - OK. IDPA - SSP, no go, ESP - OK. Q: These are the only external modifications that i plan, other than skate tape. A: Yes, but you can change the sights as well.
Custom Glock Racing
You can use a steel or tungsten rod in USPSA Prod.
