IDPA in Louisville, KY

I'm the president of an IDPA Club in Lexington, KY (Central Kentucky Sport Shooters www.ckss.org) and we have been asked by the owner of a new range in Louisville to help get an IDPA chapter going.

With this post I'm doing a little market research to see if there is enough interest, so put up a reply if you are interested.

The range will be in the same facility as a previous range/shop (Ray's - Kiln Court). It will be named Bluegrass Indoor Range and is owned by the same folks who own the Bluegrass Indoor Range in Lexington.

In my opinion, if you host the matches, the shooters will come. Sort of a "field of dreams" sort of deal.

Given that the closest clubs to Louisville are Evansville, IN and you guys at Lexington, I think it's a great place to try it.

Just be aware ... there are a lot of USPSA matches in the area and you should do your best to avoid conflicting with their match days because the same people could be some of your best customers.
