latech15
I was looking a the black bullets international site and came across their 200 gn round nose 45 bullet. Has anybody used them for revolver? I have always stayed away from anything other than the 230's due to the round nose, but this might be worth a look. Please share your experiences or loads if you have tried them.
DWFAN
I use the 200gr for Single Stack and my 625. They're pointy and load really well. 4.5gr Clays makes Major out of MY 4inch 625JM, smokes little, stays pretty clean and easy on the hand. I use more crimp on the revo loads than Auto to keep the bullets in the case during recoil, and make loading a bit easier since my cylinder is not chamferred. latech15
Great news, I am excited about trying them out. Major loads out of the 625 with 230's ain't no joke.
CDPMatt
They'll be great.... I use the 230's but the 200gr work well too. Edited September 12, 2012 by CDPMatt
8ring
I've used 200gr bullets with this profile in my 625 and found that the small 'ridge" at the top of the upper driving band would hang on the chamber mouth and slow down the reload. I now use Bear Creek 200 gr hollow base round nose bullets that don't have the ridge and they slip into the chambers just fine. Chris
FLSlim
Not the RN, but I've used their 200 SWC and it has served me well.
Shadowrider
Anybody see anything wrong with seating a tad deeper and crimping over the front driving band to reduce bullet pull? Obviously will reduce powder charge and work up and also these would be revolver only loads.
