rugerdawg
I am shooting a CMMG .308 - 16" sst lightweight that came with a standard carbine buffer and an a2 flash hider. I switched out the a2 f.h. for a spikes dynacomp to help reduce recoil and was wondering if trading out buffers would show any appreciable difference. Pop N Fresh
heavier buffers should slow your bcg down some and increase your dwell time. I use a spike's heavy in my ar15 but never tried one in a 308, for that I have a jp silent spring now and it's much nicer than a standard buffer/spring and feels softer shooting to me
dchang0
I had a T2 in my competition rifle for quite some time. Eventually, it became obvious that it was holding me back for two reasons: 1) the slower cycle time and 2) the greater muzzle flip from more reciprocating mass were both slowing my double-taps. I went back to a carbine buffer.
