Shadow1
I'm shooting my first steel challenge tomorrow. Are there any restrictions on number of rounds loaded into a magazine? I'm shooitng an XDm, my production gun for USPSA. Edited June 9, 2012 by Shadow1
Steve Anderson
I'm not aware of any, but I'm not really a rules hound. I usually load 18 in my caspian mags and use 1 mag for 2 strings. Forget about the clock and call every shot. SA
Babaganoosh
As already stated there is no limit to the amount of rounds you can load your mags to. The advice above is top notch. Oh an I'll add this. Relax. I know it's your first match but shooting relaxed will help.
Shadow1
Thanks Guys, I've been doing a ton of practicing but when I was watching videos on youtube, I noticed that everybody is changing magazines after each shoot. I though it was king of wierd with only 5 +- each run.
warpspeed
At most club level matches there are only 2 divisions ; Open and Iron sights. Neither has a limit on the number of rounds in the magazine. If the match has a USPSA Production division that dictates the holster being used & gun mods, I'd say you need to conform to the 10 rd rule too. sroe3
I load every mag to 10 and change mag every string. Once you've done a static reload on a 5 shot stage you'll do the same.

XD525Shooter
I have shot Steel Challenge at 2 local clubs. Both have a 10 round limit for the production division.
