Lee King
Wideners had the 6k pack of Hornady 55gr in stock so I went ahead and placed the order. Now that I've been reading the threads more I realized they have 2 types of the 6k bulk 55s. Wideners had the spire points in stock. Not FMJBTs. Anyone have any experience with these? Did I just stick myself with 6k of the wrong bullets?
Alaskapopo
I am sure they will work fine for you and will probably be more accurate than the FMJ bullets. Pat
Lee King
Thanks. I ran the ballistics between the 2 bullets and it's like .4" difference at 300 yards. Feeling a little better about it. Most of the FMJBT are back ordered for a long time. Midway won't have them until November.
nontactical
The only thing that stinks is 22cal flat based bullets are kind of annoying to reload since they arent as easy to stick in the case mouth.... It only matters if you are doing a whole bunch at once.
