Polishing Advice/guidance

I have heard that polishing some internal parts can help with the functioning of an XD. I have a XD9 with 5in barrel. What pieces can i polish myself that will help improve the gun? What tools or equipment will I need?

I can't say from personal knowledge, but the Gunsmith that installed my Powder River Ultimate trigger kit in my XDm 5.25 said he thought he could have just polished the sear engaement surfaces and made big improvements. I may take him up on it on another XDm.

chevy, Thats what i was hoping to be able to do, improve my trigger a bit by myself while the trigger job/drop in is out of my price range.

If anyone knows what parts to polish and knows any good techniques then please let me know

Biggest bang for your buck with no chance of harm would be to order a sear spring and trigger spring from PRP. Very low cost and will reduce your trigger pull considerably.

ive used flitz and a dremmel to polish internals before and it does help some. just work it to a nice shine... sear, ejector etc... basically anything that rubs together during trigger pull
