Petrov
I know that the locking blocks are cast and there might be a dimple or something but is this much surface area missing normal?
Sin-ster
Yep, mine has it-- but it's a lot less uniform than yours. In fact, it looks like a chunk got torn/chipped out of mine... It's hard to tell from the pictures, but mine does not appear to be quite so wide, although I believe it's deeper.

Well mine is missing a whole chunk, the lighting does not show it but it is pretty deep, I am wondering if this is what is causing accuracy problems. mcracco
Perfectly normal and has nothing to do with the function of the gun.
Sin-ster
A "chunk" describes mine as well-- not very uniform in appearance or tactile feel. That said, my 9 Pro is extremely accurate. At least with my loads, which are the only thing it's ever been fed, and have not changed since the powder charged was established for the sake of PF... Sub-2" @ 25 yards.
