sights question. PPC vs.....

As a general rule, there's not much of a difference except in complexity. The big deal with the PPC gun's sight (which are Wichita PPC sights, if I'm looking at them right) is that the sight is capable of being zeroed for the 3 main distances in PPC (7 yds., 25, and 50). That way, to shoot the different distances, one just turns the screwhead on the right side of the slide to the appropriate stop. The three small Allen screws on the top of the sight allow those three different settings.

I think that a PPC sight would be unnecessarily complicated for a Single-Stack USPSA gun, but usable if the selling price was so cheap that you couldn't turn it down.
